Position Overview:
The Human Resource Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resource department and upholding the cultural values of our organization. This position provides administrative support to the Human Resource Director and ensures that HR operations run smoothly and efficiently. This full-time role is based in our High Point office and operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. 


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain employee files, ensuring compliance with legal standards such as I-9 verification, background checks, and drug screenings; conduct regular file audits.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to assist in the daily operations of the HR department.
  • Manage incoming calls, faxes, and mail with professionalism.
  • Handle document processing tasks including photocopying, mailing, scanning, and emailing.
  • Compile and maintain data in operational spreadsheets and internal records.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to support efficient HR and organizational operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • Previous administrative or customer support experience is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
